Today in OlaBoats we want to propose you a boat itinerary so that in your next vacation in Ibiza you can enjoy to the maximum two of the best beaches of the island.
This is a day trip to discover Cala Bassa and Cala Conta (originally known as "Sa Bassa" and "Platges de Compte"). These two beaches, famous for their crystal clear waters, are located in the western part of the island and are perfect for watching wonderful sunsets sailing on one of the yachts, boats or ribs that OlaBoats offers you to rent.
You choose which of them to start with, but in this post we are going to recommend that you start at Cala Bassa to contemplate the sunset, after, at Cala Conta.
What to do in Cala Bassa
To begin with, if you anchor in the quiet bay of the beach, you can swim in its crystal clear waters and dive or snorkel on its rugged coastline. You'll find small caves and an interesting marine fauna to dust off your diving glasses (and take lots of underwater pictures!).
If you get hungry, Cala Bassa has several restaurants on the beach itself, although we recommend that you enjoy your meal and the company of your own on board any of the boats that OlaBoats has. Since you are sailing, don't miss the opportunity to organize a good feast on deck.
As in OlaBoats all our rental boats have a multitude of water toys, you can also take advantage of a paddle surf or inflatables, just to mention two examples. Cala Bassa also has nautical recreation services that you can take advantage of when you anchor there.
Before continuing the route and heading to Cala Conta, in OlaBoats we recommend that you do not miss the opportunity to approach the shore to swim. Cala Bassa is an extensive and spacious beach where the little ones will have a great time playing in the sand.
What to do in Cala Conta
As the sunset approaches, we recommend that you head towards Cala Conta to enjoy an idyllic setting and contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets on the island. In the area there are different islets and, thanks to their currents, you will bathe in what are probably the most transparent waters of Ibiza.
Cala Conta has a characteristic that makes it unique: it has hardly any seabed, and that is why its waters are so transparent. In addition, it is divided into small coves, each with its own characteristics and which are eager for you to discover them.
Snorkeling and diving are more than recommended in Cala Conta, too. But the really interesting thing, as we mentioned above, is to enjoy the sunset by anchoring in its waters, with the islets of La Conejera and La Dragonera as an exceptional setting on the horizon.
In Cala Conta you will also be able to find several restaurants with a very careful gastronomic offer, as well as a small bar where you can relax having a drink or a cocktail. Of course, the tranquility and relaxation provided by OlaBoats are not comparable...
